Cyon is a solid recommendation for Swiss hosting. Many of my Swiss clients use Cyon. The servers are located in Switzerland, and customer service runs in German.
The company sits in Basel and has been operating since 2000. Its target audience is businesses, accountants, agencies and freelancers working mainly in the Swiss and German markets. Services include shared web hosting, managed WordPress hosting, domain registration, encrypted mailboxes, and more dedicated server solutions. Their panel is custom-built rather than standard cPanel, which takes a bit of getting used to, but it's clean and works well.
Included in the plans: daily backups, free SSL certificates via Let's Encrypt, one-click WordPress install, and email and phone support in German only from a team sitting in Basel. Response time is fast and support quality is high, but if you don't speak German, this isn't the answer.
Prices are higher than cheap international hosting, and that's not a mistake. You're paying a premium for Swiss location, local support, and data protection standards. For businesses that need it, it's worth every franc.
