Task, project, and process management. Flexible for any team.

ClickUp is a strong tool for project and task management. I use it several times a day and run my whole business with it, strong recommendation. The platform replaces many separate tools: task management, docs, goals, time tracking, internal chat, dashboards, and AI. Instead of paying for Asana, Notion, Toggl, and Slack separately, you get it all in ClickUp. The free plan fits a solo user managing themselves: unlimited tasks, Kanban boards, sprint management, and a calendar. The Unlimited plan at 7 dollars per user per month unlocks unlimited storage, Gantt, integrations, built-in time tracking, and goals. Most small businesses do great with that. The Business plan at 12 dollars per user per month adds unlimited dashboards, advanced automations, mind mapping, and proofing. AI Brain is worth the difference on its own if you manage a lot of content. The most well-known downside is the learning curve: ClickUp does everything, so at first it feels confusing. After a week or two it starts flowing. The recommendation: start small with one list and grow gradually.

Pros

  • +Replaces 4-5 separate tools (Asana, Notion, Toggl, Slack)
  • +Real free plan with unlimited tasks
  • +Unlimited at 7 dollars per user is very strong for small businesses
  • +Built-in automations, Gantt, time tracking, and AI
  • +Deep customization for any workflow

Cons

  • -Steep learning curve in the first two weeks
  • -Interface can feel crowded for a new user
  • -AI Brain only on the Business plan and up
