Backblaze Personal is an unlimited cloud backup service for personal computers. At one price you get a full backup of every file on the machine, no volume limit, no file size limit, no upload throttle. Connected external drives are backed up automatically at no extra cost.

Pricing: $9 per month, $99 per year, or $189 for two years. The two-year plan is the best value, saving 13%. A 15-day trial with no credit card required.

Install is simple: download the app for Mac or PC, sign in, and backup starts in the background. The first run takes days to weeks depending on data volume. After that the backup runs continuously, only changes are uploaded.

The big upside: truly unlimited. No asterisks. Someone with 5TB of photos, video, and work files pays $9 per month, same as someone with 100GB. On iCloud or Google Drive that would cost dozens of dollars per month.

Flexible recovery: direct download via the browser, shipment of a USB drive or hard disk by mail (with refund if returned within 30 days), or via the smartphone app. 30-day version history for free, extendable to Forever for an add-on fee.

The limit: backup only, not sync. You cannot access files from other devices like on Dropbox. The file lives on the computer, Backblaze only keeps a copy.
